This Wednesday, we celebrated International Peace Day. All students were out of lessons for the day, and through various activities, focused on the meaning of peace and how it is the responsibility of all of us to help build a more peaceful and sustainable world. Miss Rice coordinated the morning sessions, with sessions such making ‘peace tsa’ with Mr Clevenger , crafting peace (silk) flowers with Ms Lai, and a peace day mural with Mr DenHartigh (see video below).
Mr Woodland and Mr Armitage coordinated the afternoon session; students created and edited a UNESCO video.
Meanwhile, the entire day’s events were captured by a team of roving reporters and recorders, under the guidance of Ms St Clair. Many thanks go to Alan, Jerry, Harry, Danny (year 12), Pedro, Sara, Ivy, Ruby (year 11) and Chauncy (year 10) for contributing their photography and videography. Check out the Peace Day photo gallery!
